Pest Control Service Terms in Maryland

Last Updated: 10/25/2026

What Pest Control Work These Terms Cover

Last updated: October 2026

These terms apply to pest control work Maryland Pest Pros agrees to perform, as described in your estimate, service confirmation, or other written agreement. The work may include inspection, treatment, monitoring, or prevention steps for the pests and areas specifically identified in that agreement.

Work on additional pests, buildings, rooms, or property conditions requires a separate written estimate or your approval of a revised scope. Unless agreed in writing, services do not include structural repairs, cleanup, removal of contaminated materials, or work by other contractors.

We use pesticides in accordance with applicable requirements, including the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, Maryland Pesticide Applicators Law (Agriculture Article §5-201), COMAR 15.05.01, and EPA-approved label directions. Pesticide handling and disposal must also follow applicable rules, including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.

Applicator certification, hazard communication, and local requirements may apply, including OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200, and rules administered by the Maryland Department of Agriculture, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the Maryland Department of the Environment, or, where relevant, Montgomery County’s Department of Environmental Protection.

Appointments, Changes, and Cancellations

Appointments are arranged by agreement with Maryland Pest Pros. We will confirm the planned service date or arrival window and any preparation or access instructions that apply.

Please make sure an adult authorized to approve the work can provide access to the agreed areas. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change an appointment; the confirmation or service agreement may state any applicable notice period or cancellation charge.

If no notice period or charge was disclosed, ask us before booking rather than assuming one applies. We may need to reschedule because of weather, safety concerns, access problems, or other conditions that make the planned work unsuitable.

If inspection reveals a different pest issue or additional work beyond the approved scope, we will explain the proposed change and seek your approval before proceeding. You may decline the added work, but the original service may need to be adjusted or postponed if the new information affects safe or effective treatment.

Estimates, Approved Work, and Payment

An estimate describes the work and charges Maryland Pest Pros expects for the conditions and scope known at the time. It is not an agreement to treat pests, areas, or conditions that are not listed.

Tell us about relevant access limits or known conditions before approving the estimate; a site visit may be needed to confirm the scope. We will seek your approval before performing additional work or changing the agreed service.

Payment is due as stated in your estimate, service confirmation, or invoice. If the documents do not specify when payment is due, please contact us to confirm before service.

Any applicable taxes or charges will be identified in the written estimate or invoice. You are responsible for paying for work you approved and that we performed, subject to applicable law and the terms of your agreement.

If you dispute a charge, contact us promptly and identify the item in question so we can review the records. No particular price or financing arrangement is promised by these terms.

Written Warranty Coverage and Limits

Maryland Pest Pros does not promise a particular treatment result or provide a standard warranty period through these terms alone. Any warranty, retreatment commitment, or service guarantee applies only if it is stated in writing in your estimate, service agreement, or a separate document.

That writing will describe the covered pest, service, duration, and any steps you must take to keep coverage in effect. Coverage may not apply to pests or areas outside the agreed scope, new infestations, conditions that existed before service, or circumstances beyond the stated coverage.

Failure to follow written preparation or follow-up instructions may also affect any applicable warranty. If you believe a covered issue has returned, contact us using the details below and provide your service information.

We will review the written terms and the reported conditions before deciding what response is required. Nothing in this section reduces rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Responsibility for Service-Related Losses

To the extent permitted by law, Maryland Pest Pros’ responsibility for a claim arising from a particular service will not exceed the amount you paid for that service. This limit does not apply where the law does not allow it, including liability that cannot legally be waived or limited.

We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, concealed conditions, structural defects, or pest activity outside the agreed scope, unless applicable law provides otherwise. You should tell us about known hazards, access restrictions, and prior treatments that could affect the work.

Pesticides will be used according to applicable requirements, including the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, Maryland Pesticide Applicators Law (Agriculture Article §5-201), COMAR 15.05.01, and EPA-approved label directions. These terms do not excuse compliance with pesticide handling or disposal rules, including the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, or applicable workplace hazard communication requirements under OSHA’s 29 CFR 1910.1200. This section does not authorize work that violates federal, Maryland, or local law.

Questions About These Service Terms

For questions about these terms, an estimate, or scheduled work, contact Maryland Pest Pros at (855) 681-0299 or info@marylandpestpros.top. You may also write to 1 Research Court, Suite 450, Rockville, MD, United States.

Please include your name, service address, and appointment or invoice details if you have them; this helps us locate the relevant records. We may update these terms from time to time.

For new or changed terms, we will make the updated version available and identify its effective date. If an update affects work already approved, the written agreement for that work and applicable law will govern unless you and Maryland Pest Pros agree otherwise in writing.

Continuing to request or approve services after an update may indicate acceptance of the revised terms for those services, where permitted by law. If a term is found unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply to the extent allowed.

I started in pest control in the Rockville area and learned to look for the conditions behind an infestation, from termite activity around older wood-frame homes to mice entering through small gaps as temperatures drop. I built this company to give Maryland homeowners practical explanations and treatment plans suited to the local seasons and housing stock.
